Established in 1976, Friends of India Society International (FISI), UK represents India's voice in the United Kingdom (UK).
We work to strengthen UK–India ties and promote India's perspectives, advancements, and achievements through research, strategic advocacy, lobbying, and public engagement.

On 25 June 1975, a National Emergency suspended civil liberties across India for 21 months. Fifty years on, FISI-UK reflects on what happened, why it matters, and our founding role in defending democracy.
